For those of you who like the old pictures of theaters on this blog, I would direct you whole-heartedly to Matt Lambros’ “After the Final Curtain” blog.  Matt is the lucky stiff who gets to go in and photograph decaying movie palaces–several of his pictures have graced this blog.  Matt will also be putting out a book (hopefully) later this year concerning the restoration of our beloved Kings Theatre in Brooklyn.  A big shout-out here to Matt.

His latest photo project concerns the Loew’s Canal Street on Canal Street (duh) in N.Y.C.  His photos are poignant and beautiful and merit a big (sigh) from yours truly.  With apologies to the Ventures, “run, don’t walk” over to visit his site.  It’s well worth it and Matt is doing some important work.
